A note from our District Administrator

Community.

In my time as District 35 Administrator, no one word has resonated with me more.

Each spring, thousands of players and hundred of volunteers descend on their local youth fields, all in the hopes of leaving the piece of the game that they touch just a little bit better than it was before. It's where our memories of yesterday meet our dreams of tomorrow, blending to form a better version of the present for the new students of our great game.

"The story of Little League began nearly a century ago," Little League International reminds us. "And it is up to all of us to write the next chapter."

What a tremendous responsibility we all hold in our hands. We anre all craftsmen of the future of this game; stakeholders in the next installment of our wonderful pastime. Let us embrace that challenge to do what is right and play fair to give to our kids the best of our childhoods and the height of our imaginations.

At District 35 New York, we are proud to oversee nine wonderful communities. And as their children compete and thrive, leaning the lessons baseball and softball teach us along the way, we will always remember our pledge to praise a good effort, support our volunteers, and -- above all else -- foster a love of the game that will last a lifetime.

To the boys and girls of District 35: Play ball! There's nothing on Earth quite like it.
